Better | Safer | Together
The In-Situ Simulation Acute Care (ISSAC) Program promotes clinical excellence and patient safety through interdisciplinary team training
Who we are
We are a diverse group of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied healthcare providers who are committed to improving patient care and safety
What we do
We utilize in-situ simulation scenarios to identify areas to identify areas for improvement, and highlight areas of clinical strength.
Where we go
We are housed at Barnes Jewish Hospital. Our program is equipped to utilize our cutting edge technology and methodology in any clinical environment.
What is in-situ simulation?
In-situ simulation is the practice of performing simulation scenarios and debriefings in the actual clinical environment. This enables providers to test their real practice pattern, equipment, and team.
Grow as a team
Multi-disciplinary simulations provide our teams with a unique opportunity to learn with, about, and from one another.
Fixing problems, proactively
Using in-situ simulations, our team can identify Latent Safety Threats (LSTs) and Best Practice Supports (BPSs).
Let’s work together.
