Stroke In-Situ Simulation
The Emergency Department Stroke In-Situ Simulation (ED-SIS) project is an initiative to improve guideline adherence and clinical excellence in stroke care thru a partnership with the Hyperacute Stroke Treatment (HASTE) team as Washington University in St. Louis.
Funding for this project was graciously provided from the American Heart Association .
Spaced Repetition
We run through stroke simulation live with our HASTE team twice monthly, including reviewing different pathologies and presentations.
The Cutting Edge
Keeping with the latest stroke literature and standard of care, our team uses simulation to implement new management safely and effectively.
Teamwork
We work with the Department of Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis to incorporate team based communication into simulation.
